Green-Power: In 2008, Michael C. Fina committed to purchasing over 4.1 million kWh’s of green power, representing 100% of projected electricity usage through 2010.
Our premier recognition tool, “The Magic Box”, is produced in the U.S.A from recycled materials and Michael C. Fina offers numerous state-of-the-art paperless employee recognition alternatives.
Electronic billing and statements offered to all of our customers.
Offset printing using wind-powered presses and soy ink.
Reduction of promotional paper brochures by transitioning to reusable web-keys, USB drives and downloadable PDF files.
Newly installed energy-efficient roof , windows and light fixtures at our Corporate Headquarters and Distribution Center.
Recycled building materials and water-based paint are used for building repairs and capital improvements.
All lighting and conveyer belts in the Distribution Center are shut down during off-peak hours.
Auto flushers and hand blowers in the restrooms throughout our facilities.
Computer hardware recycling program in conjunction with conversion of CRT monitors to LCD’s.
Recycling of printer/toner cartridges, paper, glass, plastic and aluminum is supported and encouraged.
NYC TransitChek program for employees to promote the use of public transit.
“Cycle Scheme” bicycle initiative in place at European Headquaters.
Employees provided thermos containers to help reduce the use of styrofoam coffee cups.
“Cell Phone for Soldiers” recycling program in place.
